Interview With SISKA

By Keith Clement

Greetings from Metalheads Forever Magazine, My Name is Keith, how are you doing?
We are doing great! Thank you for asking.

Tell us how SISKA was formed?
SISKA was formed in October 2015, it’s a musical project created by the lead guitarist Mattia Sisca.
It’s not a solo project, we work all together creating music in hard rock / heavy metal style with melodic influences.

What does SISKA mean?
Maybe in some language it has a meaning, but it’s just the founder’s last name haha.

Last year you put up your debut, how did it come up?
Our debut album “Romantic Dark And Violent” came out on July 13th 2018 via BIG TUNA RECORDS / SONY, it’s available worldwide in CDs, Vinyls and Digital. We worked really hard and we received great responses. Take a look at the artwork for example, we decided to put something unique that could make us unmistakable, so we chose the Venetian landscape, a symbol of the Italian culture.

You guys have toured with some of the greatest bands, how does it feel to share stage with them, and what are your thoughts and experience with them?
We consider it a pleasure, they are a piece of history. We stayed together with Skid Row and Enuff Z’Nuff, they taught us a lot about stage presence and the relation to the fans. We hope to see them again.

You will be sharing stage this July with the mighty White Snake, it must be a great privilege for you guys to play with the Icons, how are you feeling about this?
Another piece of history! You never know if such bands are going to make another tour, you must jump at the chance! And we are honored that Whitesnake themselves chose us to open their show in Bucharest on July 1st.

What are the plans for 2019 for the band?
Nothing is ready yet, but we are planning to go to Japan.

What is the best moment the band had, would you like to share with me?
The chance to be together with Whitesnake is definitely our biggest success. You know that you are doing a great job when something like this happens!

Do you have message for the fans and readers?
Go to concerts, support the bands you like and don’t have any prejudices. Nowadays being a musician is very difficult, we need all kinds of help, we are nothing without our fans.
