NUSQUAMA: Dutch Black Metal Collective Streaming Debut Album via Metal Injection

Dutch black metal quintet NUSQUAMA is streaming their debut album, Horizon Ontheemt, in full via Metal Injection before its release March 22 via Eisenwald.

Metal Injection says, “At times patient and restrained and at others, furious and bombastic, Horizon Ontheemt is a clinic on building and releasing tension.” Another review from GBHBL calls the debut “a vitriolic performance that alternates between hateful heaviness, driven rage and wild despair.”

The Netherlands-based collective perform a style of black metal evident to those familiar with the musicians behind the band: N. and S. from Laster and Northward provide bass and guitar melodies, while M. of Fluisteraars delivers the foundational drum patterns. Finally, T. and O. from Turia complete the lineup with vocals and guitars respectively.

Eisenwald is releasing Horizon Ontheemt on 180-gram vinyl and DigiCD editions, with a pro-tape cassette edition to be issued around the album’s release date under the sigil of Haeresis Noviomagi. In addition, the band will be performing its debut in entirety April 14 at Roadburn 2019 in Tilburg, Netherlands.
