What was the beginning point for your music career? How did it all start?

Diseased Earth started back in 2014 in the ashes of several local bands. we all wanted to play some heavy music than what was being offered in our area. All of us have been in and out of bands for years.

Was there any bumps on the road? What kind of challenges did you have to deal with?

Over the years, we’ve lost several members and so finding new people and get them up to speed has always been a challenge, but i think right now we are at our peak form. in our area, we suffer from a lack of places to play. so most of the time we have to travel for shows

What was the most fulfilling and satisfying moment so far?

Getting to open for Crowbar twice, as well as Thou was both pretty great. We also got to play at Skatopia.

How would you describe the music that you typically create?

we like to call it death sludge. we mix elements of classic sludge and doom with death and grind influences.

What is your creative process like?

Usually our Guitarist Paul or Bassist Joe will bring a riff and it will go from there. If a riff doesnt hold the mustard, then we cut it and move on to the next one.

If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?

Pay artists what they deserve from streaming services.

If you were asked to give a piece of advice to upcoming bands, what would that be?

Play as much as possible and lose the ego, be friendly to every band you play with and act like every show is as huge as can be

What has been the best performance of your career so far?

Our show this past Saturday at champion brewing in Charlottesville was probably one of our best we’ve played in awhile. we were on point and the crowd was super into it.

If you didn’t become a musician, what would you be doing now?

I would be the manager for a pro wrestling heel stable

What is new with the band at the moment? What are you currently working on and would like to share with the world?

we have released 4 singles this year alone and have 3 new songs that are ready to be recorded. we have several shows lined up right now, but with the delta variant, I’m not sure if those wont be cancelled.
