Two years after the release of their first album, Canticum Diaboli are back on the scene on October 11 with the single “Odivi te in Sepulcro”.

In the song the band has decided to tell the story of the defeat of the arrogant Pope Boniface VIII by the King of France Philip the Fair.

The latter, victorious, not only humiliates the opponent in life with the famous slap of Anagni, but also torments him after death by muddying his image forever with infamous sentences in front of the now rotting corpse.

This event is anticipated by the meaning of the title in Latin: “I hated you in the sepulchre”.
