Extreme Management Group signs Symphonic Black Metal band Fall of Stasis to Worldwide Deal
Extreme Management Group (EMG), home to bands like Suffocation, Cattle Decapitation, Rings of Saturn, and more, has announced their partnership with Canadian symphonic black metal band Fall of Stasis.
Imagine the status quo of human existence being disrupted in one crushing blow of mayhemic pandemonium. Life as we know it crashes into one big ball of anarchic chaos, and an apocalyptically cataclysmic era takes over, thwarting mankind’s existence as we know it, a new age of imbalance and darkness becoming a gloomy norm. Fall of stasis is right there at the helm, watching over the beleaguered state of humanity, providing the soundtrack to existential dread through its individualistic, unconventional, and non- conformist metallic style, crushing any level of status quo in the metal scene, introducing a sound that’s wholly original and genre-defying, something for all to enjoy.
Formed in 2014 and active in the scene since 2017, Canadian Fall of Stasis rooted itself as a quirky sextet of originality, with freedom of musical expression fuelling its creations and progressive intonations back boning dark, bruising tracks. Described by MetalHammer as exceptional in the best sense, Fall of Stasis stays true to its name, breaking any and all barriers that could inhibit its musical identity. The band has an especial affinity with the eclectic and a thirst for crafting the unique, its identity enriched with an ingenious blend of diversely grandiose soundscapes, bombastic musical peculiarities, and dramatically moreish moments to savour. Over time, Fall Of Stasis has come to create metal that is psychologically unnerving, theatrically laced and captivatingly diverse in output, opting to meld symphonic elements woven in amongst black, death, pirate, folk, prog, and melodeath nuances, conveying something very distinctive and gratifying.
The dazzling intensity of Fall of Stasis’ idiosyncratic talent can be felt in the 2022 debut full-length, The Chronophagist; devastating, dramatic and distinctive, the album has been well-received amongst critics, far and wide. With the rich sonority of the gargantuan orchestrations that flood from the outset, focusing on storm-filled riffs, frenzied instrumentals, maniacal tempos, weighty growls and spirited vocals, the album punches and punishes with contrasting macabre and melancholic thematic. From the opening track, Wilted Forests playfully doling out ironic conviviality, right through to the gargantuan, The Chronophagist that epically bookends with its unyielding riffs of destruction and vocally charged moments, Fall of Stasis satisfies every desire and deep yearning for displacement of reality in violently brutish cuts, offering an incendiary sensory journey.
