On the new remix, vocalist / guitarist Ashley Tubb of Sugar Horse commented: “It was an honour to be asked to completely ruin a lovely song from a lovely band. If you’re gonna destroy something, you may as well completely demolish it and rebuild it (badly).”

On the remix album, InTechnicolour bassist Vlad Matveikov commented: “Overall the idea behind this album is to continue bringing the original Midnight Heavyweight to people’s attention, and to get our friends in music to have a hack at their own take of the songs we have written in lockdown, and that are out for everyone to enjoy now.”

More info on Intechnicolour:

Hailing from Brighton, InTechnicolour are a riffy, groovy, rock band with a knack for creating a colourful song or two. Formed in 2015 through a want to play loud music through slightly broken amps, the basis of the band was created.

InTechnicolour are an inventive four-piece comprised of technically gifted musicians, cutting loose and playing music that’s about as far removed from their day jobs as it’s possible to get – and they are doing it better than a good portion of their contemporaries. Landing somewhere between the slack desert-groove of Kyuss and Karma To Burn, the band combine deeply satisfying riffs with a dynamic vocal style, which calls to mind the sounds of BaronessAlice In Chains and Soundgarden.

InTechnicolour have previously toured across the UK and Europe with the likes of Physics House BandBlack PeaksTown PortalBitch Falcon and Haggard Cat, and are gearing up to hit the road this autumn with dates to be announced very soon.

More info on El Moono:

Influences of rock, hardcore, post-hardcore, sludge, grunge and metal, El Moono‘s off-kilter and oftentimes mind-bending riffs, emotive songs and expressive lyricism combine to create a sound that’s difficult to pigeonhole.
