Bio
Methane formed in the fall of 2012 by American brothers, living in Sweden, Tim Scott (former bassist of Revenant and HatePlow) and Dylan Campbell together with Tim’s long time friend Jimi Masterbo and drummer Andreas Strom. After gaining underground recognition for their previous EP releases, 2014’s ‘Southern Metal’, and 2015’s ‘Spit On Your Grave’, Methane was signed in 2016 by Sony’s Dark Star Records. The band has also appeared on the soundtrack for Scottish mini series Metalhedz (S03E02 and S03E03) as well as the first ever E-Novel with music “How an Atomic Fart Saved The World”.
February of 2017 saw Methane release its debut full length album “The Devil’s Own” on Sony/Dark Star Records which has been met by the press with great reviews. Drawing influence from Slayer, LOG, and Pantera, Methane has created a unique sound that is strong and unapologetic. The band has been touring in Europe supporting the album and steadily gaining a strong and loyal fan base in the European Metal scene with a reputation as a high powered, energetic live band. To date, Methane has played over 80 shows in on 2 continents. Highlights include U.S. tour, headlining Finnish Tour, Rage of Armageddon Festival (NYC,USA) Metal Inferno Festival (Sweden), Heavy Metal Heart Festival (Helsinki) and opening for international touring bands such as Warbringer, Nervosa, Whiplash and The Haunted.

Your brain is being eaten! Big Brother sees and knows everything you do. Your life is being controlled and corrupted through social media. Your news feeds are infested by fake news , attention whores and mindless maniacs seeking drama.
IT’S TIME TO THIN THE HERD
In our contemporary age of social media with immediate access to our internet connections be it with good friends and family and often complete strangers, I never cease to be shocked by other human beings. The butt hurt millennials offended by everything, the MILF who posts pictures of mostly naked female models (not herself) for no apparent reason I mean you don’t look like that if your gay say it, the feel sorry for me people posting how horrible life is and how bad they always feel , the idiot who airs out all their personal problems trying to find someone to take their side and the one who posts how wonderful and beautiful life is when you know its complete bullshit. Watching the dishonesty and the lack of self respect fed to me daily is what lays behind my words in this song. It’s time to take responsibility for yourself, be real everything else is ingenuine and completely transparent. The practice of culling the herd came immediately to my mind sifting through my Facebook ”friends”. Taking away the week the tainted and narcissistic from my flock.
