NICOLETTA ROSELLINI (KALIDIA, WALK IN DARKNESS) RELEASES COVER OF THE NIGHTWISH BALLAD “TURN LOOSE THE MERMAIDS”
The Italian vocalist Nicoletta Rosellini is known for her work with Kalidia and Walk in Darkness have released a cover version of the Nightwish ballad “Turn Loose the Mermaids” from their album “Imaginaerum”.
A video can be seen on YouTube below, and the cover is also available as a digital single on the usual streaming platforms.
Nicoletta comments on the new single:
“The ‘Dark Passion Play’ and ‘Imaginaerum’ albums by Nightwish came out when I was starting my career as a metal vocalist and it’s not a secret that those two releases influenced me a lot. Anette Olzon’s rock singing style and great stage presence contributed to shaping me as a performer. With this cover version, I want to pay my tribute to her and the band.”
