Video for “Circle Game” Exclusive Debut On BWBK!
The video for “Circle Game”, the first single off the upcoming October Thorns album on Divebomb Records will be shown exclusively at Brave Words & Bloody Knuckles website starting at 12 noon EST on Nov. 17th.
Live footage from the band’s Introduction show at St. Anne’s in Brooklyn from February 19th, 1999 is blended with photos from the band members’ personal collections. YOD Multimedia produced a video that is not only a performance piece but a poignant look back at a band in its infancy with modern graphics and text for lyrics.
Following the official music video is raw, Handycam footage of a 19 yr. old David Z performing his first bass solo with the band. He runs through a blistering set of jazz, prog, and funk sections, culminating in a two-handed version of Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean” while doing the moonwalk.
David went on to an extensive career, joining the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Jeff Scott Soto, and toured with his own band ZO2, opening for KISS and Poison on their US Tour in 2004.
Tragically, he lost his life in a vehicle crash while on tour with Adrenaline Mob in 2017. This video and album are a tribute to him and his incredible talent.
