PILLARS OF A TWISTED CITY REVEAL MUSIC VIDEO FOR “INCINERATOR” – WATCH HERE!
SENTINEL OUT NOW VIA DEBT OFFENSIVE RECORDS – LISTEN HERE!
Today, Vancouver’s exciting metal, post-punk outfit Pillars Of A Twisted City reveal the music video for “Incinerator”. It’s a surf rock anthem inspired by classics such as The Ventures, Dick Dale, Link Wray. Wax up you’re board and Surf into the sunset. Clips in the video were provided by Dragon and edited by Stewart himself. Watch it HERE!
“Incinerator” is the fourth single off of their latest full-length, Sentinel released October 14th via Debt Offensive Records. Recorded at Clayoquot Studios, a floating studio in Tofino, BC, it is inspired by Stewart’s time spent in the Pacific Northwest and harnesses aspects of black and thrash metal while also diving more into post-punk and gothic elements. It is available to listen to and purchase at THIS location.
The album finds Stewart incorporating banjo, accordion, and classical nylon string guitar into his compositions. The recording of these more exotic instruments took place in the aforementioned floating studio, housed in a shipment container entitled Sentinel, thus also serving as the inspiration for the album title. “The goals of this band are to push boundaries, explore new sounds, and write good songs. Pillars of a Twisted city is an artistic collaboration celebrating freedom of creativity, removing consumer pressure, and concentrating on unique recording and songwriting experiences,” explains Stewart.
Earlier this month Pillars of a Twisted City released the third single from the album “Significant Tragedies“. The group also premiered their “Subatomic Love” music video via CVLT Nation at the end of September. This is the second single to come off of the album, which followed the Bandcamp release of “Winters Blood“. Sentinel has received coverage from Metal Heads Forever, CFLX, Metal Digest, The Tinnitist, Idioteq, Grande Rock, and more!
