The two brothers Fabio and Nicolas Calluori (Heimdall) founded Die for my Sins in 2022, but I’m not sure whether this is actually a real band. The only permanent band members seem to be exactly these two. Ralf Scheepers (Primal Fear, ex-Gamma Ray) sang on the debut album ‘Scream’ but is only listed as a session singer. In addition, there are only three guest musicians.

The album starts with the title track ‘Scream’. In the accompanying video you can see singer Ralf Scheepers in action. That alone is a guarantee of quality. But the band and the guest musicians also perform very well. High tempo, strong riffs and guitar solos. Also ‘Time’ is in this vein. The bass line, which comes to the fore in several places, is also impressive here. And this continues in the following tracks. ‘Still Alive’, ‘Waiting For Your Hero’ and ‘Dark Symphony’ are outstanding Power Metal bangers. In between you can hear a great Power Metal anthem with ‘In The Sign Of The Cross’. ‘Shades Of Grey’ is another anthem. With guest vocalist Ian Parry (Elegy) and a huge guitar solo. The Metal anthems ‘Perfect Land’ and ‘Kingdoms Rise’ close the album.

‘Scream’ is a great Power Metal album. However, it lives above all from the illustrious musical guests. It would be great if the Calluori brothers could establish an equally strong line-up for studio recordings and, of course, live performances. All these songs naturally deserve to be performed on stage.
