Angel – Angel Maria (Single)

It’s been almost 15 years since Norwegian vocalist Helena Irish Michaelsen (Imperia, former Trail Of Tears, former Sahara Dust) launched her solo project Angel. So, the album “A Woman’s Diary – Chapter I” and the single “Do not Wanna Run” were released in 2005. After that the project rested. The singer recorded several albums with her band Imperia. Various concerts took her across Europe.
Now there is a new sign of life from Angel. Obviously, Helena is during the work for the second album “A Woman’s Diary – Chapter II”. In April the single “Angel Maria” was released as an appetizer. This song is very personal and is dedicated to her daughter. For years she fights to get her abducted angel back, so far in vain. So, Helena sings wistfully, accompanied only by the piano, but then again combative. You can clearly hear that she misses her daughter a lot. The last few years must have been a nightmare for the beautiful blonde singer. Let’s hope that she can soon embrace her daughter again.
