“INFECTED RAIN” INTERVIEW by Trisha Lindley
First off, I would like to thank you for taking the time to have a chat with us here at Metalheads Forever Magazine! I know it must be difficult to find the time to answer a few questions for us with a new album scheduled to be released and I am especially grateful you did!
It is our pleasure to have a little chat with you! Thank you for contacting us.
Infected Rain being formed in 2008, has released two previous full length albums, in 2011 was “Asylum”, in 2014 “Embrace Eternity” and now your latest album coming out at the beginning of this year, “86”. What can fans expect of this latest release? Will it have the raw combination of female screaming, hard riffs and samples we have come to love of Infected Rain or will it branch out to incorporate the different music styles of the band members?
It is definitely going to be the old us with a new perspective. We changed some things, now we play in a different key and with seven string guitars. Also, we are gonna surprise you with the variety of sounds and tunes. It is a really beautiful child we created together. We hope you will like it!
You have come such a long way since you took 1st Place at the Big Up! Urban Fest back in 2009. What would you say has been the main thing that has kept Infected Rain going? What keeps the fire burning to make new music?
Our fans. Our fans are important to us, they support us and keep us going. It is always amazing to realize that your art is appreciated and loved.
You have toured many different countries over the last few years promoting Infected Rain’s music. Is there still a country you would like to visit that you haven’t had the chance to as of yet?
We want to tour everywhere worldwide, no exceptions! Now we are trying our best to book shows in America and Great Britain.
How do you decide what songs to play for your sets? Is it hard to keep your set list fresh and exciting to your fans after playing so many shows?
True, it is indeed very hard, because everyone is curious to hear the new songs but, at the same time they also want to hear the old ones. Unfortunately the time on the stage is very often limited and we have to choose. We love all of our songs and it is a difficult decision for us, that’s why we change our set list often.
I know you have many great memories already from your shows and it is probably difficult to pinpoint one particular thing but what would you say is the craziest thing you have ever seen a fan do at a Infected Rain show?
For us the craziest thing a fan can do is come to our show and sing along with us, support us and come to talk to us after the show. Some of them travel to a different country just to see us, or follow us for a few shows during our tour, that is extraordinarily amazing! We are infinitely grateful.
I am so excited for the new album coming out,“86”! I know you probably have lots of promoting to do. Are you going to tour to promote the album and if so where can we expect to find you in the upcoming months in 2017?
We are excited too. Tours and festivals are gonna be definitely our main thing during 2017, so don’t miss our shows!
Any last words or thoughts, in closing, you would like to share with your fans from all over the world?
We deliver all our messages throughout songs but, there is also more to say…
Just support the bands and go to see them live, it is a completely different experience than just listening to the music with your earphones.
