EXCITER to celebrate 40th Anniversary Of ‘Heavy Metal Maniac’ North America Tour with Claustrofobia and many bands

Brazilian thrash/death metal band will open at the celebration of 40 years of the classic album ‘Heavy Metal Maniac’

Claustrofobia channels its heavy metal energy with a solid career in Brazil, South America, Europe and the United States. Currently living in the United States, where they affectionately call Las Vegas “Home”, the band announces another big tour in the American territory. The band was invited to open the concerts of Canadian speed metal pioneers Exciter, who are celebrating 40 years of the classic debut album ‘Heavy Metal Maniac’, released on June 14, 1983. There will be 9 dates, starting on October 26 in San Diego, passing through cities like Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, Boise, Portland, Vancouver, Seattle, San Francisco and ending in Los Angeles, with Lich King and Blood Star.

Tickets now available on https://linktr.ee/exciterband

“We are finally going to hit the road properly after such difficult times with the pandemic and all the restructuring of the scene and life in general. This resumption couldn’t be in a better style, together with the pioneers of Heavy Metal. It was an honor to be invited by Exciter to be part of this package. We can’t wait to hit the road and share all the news with all the fans. Let’s go with everything”, says Marcus D’Angelo.

Claustrofobia continues promoting its latest album, ‘Unleeched’. In this project, the Brazilian heavy metal group brings back its classic aggressive sound, and also expands its sound over 9 brand new tracks. Produced by Adair Daufembach and Claustrofobia, and recorded, mixed and mastered by Adair Daufembach in August 2020 at Northwood Sound Studio in Los Angeles, ‘Unleeched’ is a release on the American label Metal Assault Records. The album is available on all digital platforms and in physical format in Brazil, released by the ForMusic label.

Now based in Las Vegas, Nevada, Brazilian death/thrash metal trio Claustrofobia, formed in 1994 by brothers Marcus and Caio D’Angelo, has a career spanning nearly three decades, a discography comprising six full-length albums and a release in DVD, a multitude of international tours, high-performance live performances sharing stages with the likes of Iron Maiden, Slayer and Anthrax, as well as countless fans across the world.

More about Claustrofobia:

Founded and led by the D’Angelo brothers, fiercely independent since 1994, CLAUSTROFOBIA acts with the same respect and attitude in the dirtiest underground clubs or on today’s biggest stages.

Their unmistakable energy and authenticity has won them countless fans throughout Brazil, South America, Europe and the United States. It is no surprise that they shared the stage with Metal royalty Iron Maiden, Slayer, Anthrax, among others.

In 2019, they returned to Brazil for a historic show at Rock in Rio, at the request of Brazilian fans, through a nationwide petition. The band was also invited by Slayer to open for their final show in São Paulo.

“Building a cult is one of those things that’s easy in theory but tough in practice. Or it is, anyway, if you’re not Claustrofobia — a Brazilian death metal-tinged trad-thrash ultra-power trio that will have you head banging your way into the fold via the new Caio D`Angelo-helmed video for the soul-stirring, killer anthem ‘Riff Cult'” – Shawn Macomber, Decibel Magazine, December 2020
