Wind Walkers Release Cover of Kingdom Hearts 3 Theme Song “Face My Fears”

Massachusetts metalcore outfit Wind Walkers has released a cover of the Kingdom Hearts 3 theme song, “Face My Fears“. The song, originally performed by Hikaru Utada & Skrillex, follows up on the band’s last cover, “Without Me” by Halsey, which has amassed over 750,000 online streams since October 2018. Both songs were produced and engineered by Josh Buckner and Nick Matzkows (BlessthefallYouth In Revolt).

Vocalist, Corey Prokowiew commented on the cover, “I’ve been a big fan of Kingdom Hearts since the first game released back in 2002, and have been patiently waiting for the third installment for well over 10 years now. I’ve always loved the theme songs behind the series and the work Hikaru Utada has done as a musician. When I heard she was working on the third theme song with Skrillex I made the decision right then and there to cover it before the first preview was even released. It’s a different sound when compared to the music we’ve recorded in the past but we’re all about trying something new and something out of our own comfort zone.”

Wind Walkers released their debut album “The Lost Boys” this past June with close to a million streams, and have plans to release more singles in the upcoming months. Stream and download “Face My Fears” here or below.
