Timeless Fairytale
A Story To Tell

Timeless Fairytale are a new band. And they play Melodic Metal. They were founded by Danish singer Henrik Brockmann (Royal Hunt, Evil Masquerade) and Italian guitarist/songwriter Luca Sellitto (Ian Parry’s Rock Emporium, Magic Opera). The band is completed by bassist Carmine Vivo and drummer Viktor Enebjörn. So as you can see, the band is international. Not much could be found about the founding date. However, I suspect that this is in the middle of 2023. “A Story To Tell” is the band’s debut album.

The intro “Entering The Fairytale” has a playing time of just over three and a half minutes. Anyone who knows me knows that I’m not a big fan of intros. But luckily this is a short instrumental song and not the sound gimmicks that are often heard. At the end, there are also some quiet vocals in which the listener is greeted by the band. “Forever And A Day” is then AOR from the eighties, characterised by beautiful melodies. New Dawn” is a bit more of a blast. Rock from the same period. With the typical guitar solo. Even “Master Of Illusion” is Melodic Rock. The tempo and heaviness increase significantly on “Emptiness”. The drums are driving. And singer Henrik Brockmann lets himself drift. Of course, there is also a heartbreakingly beautiful ballad. In the title track “A Story To Tell”, the singer is initially accompanied by a piano before the rhythm section kicks in powerfully later on. The icing on the cake is the guitar solo. But after that, the good mood Rock continues. Whether it’s “The Best Part Of Your Life”, “Forsaken Dream”, “The Last Chance” or “Trust Your Heart” – it’s simply fun to listen to. The musicians say goodbye with the outro “Farewell Fairytale”.

Time seems to have stood still on “A Story To Tell”. Nine timelessly beautiful Rock anthems in the style of eighties Stadium Rock. The band name “Timeless Fairytale” describes 100% the concept behind the album. Thanks to the varied songwriting, every song sounds a little different. The powerful production does the rest to captivate the listener for a good three quarters of an hour.
