Blind Channel release their infamous boyband cover EVERYBODY (BLOODBROS BACK)”. After releasing their latest album EXIT EMOTIONS (buy & stream here) in March 2024, the chart-topping Finnish nu-metal stars are finally unleashing their legendary cover EVERYBODY (BLOODBROS BACK) of Backstreet Boys’ 1997 hit single ‘Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)’. The cover, which has been part of the bands’ live set-list all over the US and Europe, can already be considered a fan-favorite and turns the original boyband pop song into a high-octane headbanger that will have both metalheads and 90s fans moshing together

“Over 10 years ago we were starting our career as a group of teenagers playing energetic metal while being dressed like 2010’s Justin Biebers. People started calling us a ”boyband trying to play metal”. We chose to embrace what was originally meant as an insult. Now it’s time to turn this absolute boyband-classic from our live shows to a full-on studio version with low tuned guitars & modern nu metal vibes. Instead of ”original and sexual” we are ”emotional and miserable”. Check out our cover of this iconic song and the music video recapping our career’s craziest moments on & off stage.”

The Finnish band gained international acclaim over the past three years, particularly after their breakthrough in the Eurovision Song Contest 2021. Representing Finland with the song Dark Side, Blind Channel achieved sixth place in the competition, which accounts as the second-best result ever for Finland. Dark Side garnered millions of streams and brought them a dedicated international fanbase that continued growing throughout 2022. Their rising popularity also led to increased live performances, including tours across Europe that helped solidify their status as one of Finland’s most exciting musical exports. Around this time, they signed a worldwide record deal with Century Media / Sony Music, which further boosted their international reach.
In July 2022, Blind Channel released their highly anticipated album Lifestyles of the Sick & Dangerous. It was well-received by both fans and critics for its high energy and intensity, with tracks like Bad Idea and Balboa becoming instant fan favorites. This album represented a significant milestone in their career, showcasing their ability to evolve while staying true to their unique sound.
With their 2024 record EXIT EMOTIONS, the band continued to push the boundaries of their unique ‘violet pop’ sound. The album hit No.1 on the Finnish album charts, which marks another milestone for the group. Both musically and thematically, EXIT EMOTIONS showcases the bands’ evolution and rollercoaster ride that comes with an expanding career in music and on the road. The album has been praised for its raw energy and anthemic choruses, with standout tracks like DEADZONE and FLATLINE.
While Eurovision was a catalyst for Blind Channel’s rise to fame, the band built themselves a dedicated fandom and success throughout their 2 records while continuously touring globally.
Blind Channel recently announced their “Final Emotions” Tour, which will take the band through a club tour in Finland – a rare opportunity to catch the band in a more intimate setting and experience their headliner set up-close!
