Detached is a symphonic metal project from Italy, created by bassist Federico Tioli and vocalist Riccardo Tioli. Known for its theatrical atmospheres, the music combines classical and progressive influences, shaping a metal opera with epic orchestral elements. The self-titled album tells a dark story inspired by H. P. Lovecraft and horror pop culture, while addressing deeper themes such as depression and mental health. This concept album features multiple vocal characters and unfolds its narrative across 10 chapters, with each song driving the story forward.
«Brand New Day» The alarm rang sharply, cutting through Liam’s sleep. He slammed it off with a punch, staring at the ceiling in silence. A heavy sigh of regret marked the start of another day. Amid the hazy memories of the night before, Liam downed a mug of coffee and made his way through the garden toward work. He tried to convince himself that everything was fine, but a deep sense of emptiness lingered in his mind. What is the point of routine, dedication, and the safety of a stable life if the heart remains lonely? And what will remain if no one remembers you? As the thought gnawed at him, he knew he would relive this cycle again, day after day.
