JAG PANZER
***AMERICAN METAL LEGENDS’ LONDON CAMDEN UNDERWORLD HEADLINE CONCERT MAY 16TH***
US power metal pioneers Jag Panzer, whose tenth studio album, ‘The Deviant Chord’ was released to huge acclaim on SPV in September 2017, have lined up a major European headline tour commencing at London’s Camden Underworld on May 16th. Tickets, priced £20 + £2 booking fee, can be purchased from www.theunderworldcamden.co.uk/event/jag-panzer-16th-may-the-underworld-london-tickets
Powerplay Magazine’s Bruce Turnbull awarded ‘The Deviant Chord’ 9/10 in October 2017, stating “American metal overlords Jag Panzer have been kicking ass and taking names since the 80’s, and over the years they have become legends in the USPM scene… Here we have the long-awaited follow-up to 2011’s ‘The Scourge Of The Light’ and it’s a cracker. Using the Iron Maiden blueprint and adding plenty of bite with jagged guitars and grit from Harry Conklin, Jag Panzer smash through these songs like doomsday is approaching…it has a more melodic vibe than their last one, with more guitar harmonies and double-bass drumming, putting it in the power metal sphere, but at its heart it’s still good old-fashioned US metal. Harry Conklin is one of the best singers in the genre, and his glorious voice is the highlight here. He goes from aggressive, Dickinson-esque wails to soft, choir-like hymnals from track to track, proving there is nothing he can’t sing. The album plays well from start to finish, with plenty of variation, but it is always melodic, mighty, and vast. I don’t want to wait six years for another one, but if it is anything like this, it will be worth the wait. Fantastic stuff.”
The Jag Panzer tour then heads off to France, Spain, Holland, Germany, Greece, Italy, Switzerland, Austria and Sweden.
