Southern California’s up and coming alt/metal/hip-hop group Throwlight has released their debut full-length, ‘Monster’. The album, a powerful fusion of metal, hardcore, and hip-hop, was produced by the respected Paul Miner (Death By Stereo, New Found Glory etc). ‘Monster’ features guest appearances from Slug of Atmosphere and iconic Rhymesayers artist Blueprint. Throwlight played their first show last week with Norma Jean and Cancer Bats in Southern California and are soon announcing multiple dates for Fall 24′.
Throwlight, a genre-blending powerhouse, was formed when popular underground rapper Rocom joined forces with his longtime friends, Kevin Betz, Chris Ellis, and King of Somewhere. The band’s unique blend of metal, hardcore, and hip-hop is a result of their diverse musical backgrounds in punk, metal, rap, and hardcore. Rocom’s unapologetic and streetwise delivery uniquely combines the grit of hip-hop with the aggression of metal and hardcore.
Throwlight has been making waves with their already released tracks “Oblivion,” “No Fate” and “Back Down,” garnering early buzz and anticipation for their debut album. Throwlight continues to push the envelope, all while behind the scenes building upon their relentless work ethic to reach new fans in the rock, hip-hop and hardcore scenes.
It was a great pleasure to have Rocom on the Interview to talk on the new album and much more behind Throwlight. Check out the complete coverage on the below YouTube video.
