The wait is over! International heavy metal powerhouse VEIL OF THE SERPENT has officially unleashed their highly anticipated debut album, Gallery Of Sin – a 14-track masterpiece that solidifies the band’s place as a force to be reckoned with in the metal world!

Gallery Of Sin delivers over 70 minutes of unrelenting heavy metal, seamlessly combining crushing riffs, haunting melodies and an immersive horror narrative that fans and critics alike have been eagerly anticipating. The concept album tells an elaborate story of corruption, greed and the cost of unchecked ambition. The songs take listeners deep into the twisted mind of a manipulative figure who uses power and wealth to control society. Tracks like “Becoming Ascendant”, “The Rolling And The Thunder” or “Deliverance” explore these themes with chilling precision, showcasing the band’s ability to weavea narrative of societal decay and moral compromise.

It was a great pleasure to chat with Felix (Drums) of Veil Of The Serpent to speak on the new album and much more on the band. Below is the complete Interview for you to enjoy.

Greetings from Metalheads Forever Magazine, I’m Keith, How are you today?

Thanks, Keith! I’m doing great and thrilled to chat with you!

Your debut full length album “Gallery Of Sin” was out on November 29, can you tell me on the songwriting and production behind the album?

The whole story of “Gallery Of Sin” began in 2022 when we penned the first songs. By October that year, we had released the debut “Gallery Of Sin” EP, already envisioning the continuation of its story in a follow-up. As we delved deeper, the story’s richness and abundance of material naturally evolved into the concept of a full-length album.

Recognizing modern streaming and listening habits, we opted to release the whole thing in phases: three EPs, each containing three tracks. Once complete, we compiled these tracks into a full album, enhanced by five brand-new tracks exclusive to the release.

The songwriting process was fully focused on creating a cohesive concept album. Gene took the lead on crafting most of the riffs and melodies, while I concentrated on arranging the song structures and the drumming. JD brought the story to life with his lyrics and vocals, adding the emotional depth needed to carry the narrative.

On the production side, our goal was to capture a raw heavy metal sound that complemented the story’s intensity. We worked meticulously, ensuring that every riff, beat and vocal line contributed to the narrative’s power and cohesion.

Was there a concept behind Gallery Of Sin?

Absolutely! The album is a concept piece about corruption and unchecked ambition. It tells the story of a manipulative figure whose greed drives societal collapse. We wanted each song to feel like a chapter in a dark, cinematic horror story. Tracks like “Becoming Ascendant” or “The Rolling And The Thunder” delve into these themes in vivid detail.

A great Cover-Art for the album, Can you tell me about the theme and making behind the album art?

I was responsible for creating all the artwork for the new album cycle, a process that began in 2022. The cover art is a reflection of the album’s dark and intricate themes, designed to capture the haunting atmosphere of “Gallery Of Sin”. Each visual element ties deeply into the story, evoking a palpable sense of dread and mystery.

The main figure “The Curator” is central to the narrative, and the artwork portrays him at the climactic end of the story – where his ambition has led to the ultimate destruction of the world.

In addition to the cover, the limited-edition digipak features a 24-page booklet with unique illustrations crafted for every track. This was an opportunity to extend the visual storytelling, giving each song its own distinct artistic interpretation while maintaining the cohesive tone of the album. The imagery is layered with symbolic details, some of which serve as hidden Easter eggs for fans to discover, adding another dimension to the experience.

14 mindblowing songs with a classic Instrumental metal tracks included in this album, Great Heavy metal album, with great vocals and extraordinary musicianship, Killer riffs and great musical progression, How as a band do you feel about the outcome of the album?

We’re immensely proud of “Gallery Of Sin”. It’s the culmination of years of effort, and we feel it truly represents who we are as a band at the moment. Hearing fans appreciate the musical progression validates all the hard work we’ve put into this project. It’s an incredible feeling!

Did you do something special on the release day?

A few days before the album release, we hosted a virtual listening party for fans, where we shared behind-the-scenes insights into the album’s creation. It was an incredible experience to connect directly with our audience and hear their thoughts and excitement.

On release day, we decided to go old-school. Gene and I loaded up with posters, flyers, stickers and beer coasters, then hit the streets of Berlin to promote the album in bars and clubs. Along the way, we soaked in the atmosphere, had a few beers, and simply enjoyed the moment.

How’s the touring plans look like for 2025?

Currently, there are no plans for touring. With JD living in Tokyo, organizing a tour is a bit complex. The logistics and expenses involved in planning and executing a proper tour are quite significant. However, we are definitely open to the idea of touring in the future, as it’s something we’re passionate about. But it depends on the growth of the band and the level of demand from fans. If the interest and support continue to grow, it would create more opportunities for us to make touring a reality.

Formed in 2021 and have release multiple singles and EP’s over the years, how has the journey been so far?

The journey has been incredible. Each release, singles, EPs, and now the full-length album, has been a stepping stone, and the support we’ve received has been amazing!

Would you like to tell us about Veil Of The Serpent, The band and how it all started?

The band was founded by Gene and me in 2021, building on our shared passion for making music together. What began as a simple vision quickly evolved into reality when JD joined, completing our lineup. From that point forward, we’ve dedicated ourselves to creating music that weaves deep storytelling, vivid imagery and pure heavy metal.

What has been some of the highlight for the band?

The release of “Gallery Of Sin” has been an incredible milestone for us, marking a pivotal moment in our journey. The overwhelmingly positive response from fans and listeners has been deeply rewarding and affirming. Additionally, unveiling our cover of Iced Earth’s “Watching Over Me” was another highlight for me. I’m proud of the unique twist we brought to the song, honoring its legacy while infusing it with our own style and emotion. Actually all our releases represent significant artistic highlights, and we’re always thrilled to see how they resonate with our audience.

What would be the future focus and dream?

We’re already working on our next album, aiming for a potential release in 2026. Right now, we have a few exciting ideas taking shape, and Gene and I plan to meet in February to start writing songs. If all goes well, we might even begin recording by March or April.

As for dreams, it would be incredible to bring Veil of the Serpent to life on stage for fans around the world. Only time will tell what the future holds, but we’re hopeful and excited for the possibilities.

Finally any message you have for the fans?

Thank you for your support and belief in our music. “Gallery Of Sin” is for you, and we hope it resonates as much as it did for us when creating it. Stay safe and stay heavy! Cheers!
