KING GARCIA unleash music video for title track of debut album; “Hamelin” out April 18th on ViciSolum Productions!

Greek instrumental progressive rock band KING GARCIA has released a music video for the title track of their highly anticipated debut album, “Hamelin”. Following the well-received “Sweat“, the Athens-based four-piece presents another glimpse into their atmospheric soundscapes with “Hamelin”. The album will be released globally on April 18th via ViciSolum Productions.
“Hamelin” is now available on all major digital platforms and is accompanied by a visually appealing music video perfectly capturing the spirit of the track. Watch the video here:
The band comments on the title track: “Hamelin was one of the last songs we wrote for this album, and it became such an integral part of our sound that we chose to name the album after it. The lore behind the myth of the Pied Piper is a dark and mysterious story that can be interpreted in many ways: The musician who helps a community get rid of its’ problems and yet the people in charge punish him and mock him. The revenge he takes by luring their children and taking them to a land far away with the use of music. This German legend can be applied to many contexts, both social and political. Artists have always been treated as outcasts, as peasants. But as art can move the world, it can stop it too. Art can save and it can destroy. Art unites and it separates. It is crucial to understand that the way power is used -or misused- is what separates the saviour from the tyrant.“
KING GARCIA is a quartet that sings its soul out without using any lyrics. Formed on a cold October evening in 2019, the members bring a wealth of experience from their previous and current projects, including Mother of Millions (Kostas), POEM (Kamil), Tardive Dyskinesia (Kornilios), and Bandallusia (Alex). The band crafts instrumental, cinematic music that gazes at red-dawn skies. At times soothing like a hot summer afternoon, their sound can also morph into a dark and ominous cold evening. The scene zooms out and into the presence of light, a moody, mellow spark at the end of a long tunnel.
“Hamelin” will be out on April 18 via ViciSolum Productions and was produced, mixed, and mastered by the acclaimed Hector D. Tracking took place at Noisy King Music Residence and Eightyard studios.
