De’Lour, like many creatives at the time who were at a loss for purpose, formed during the national lockdown. They gained so much fulfillment creating music together that the project has stuck around since restrictions were lifted and has now flourished into a fully fledged live band. 2024 saw the release of the bands critically acclaimed debut EP ‘The Ghost You Left Behind‘. This release boasted the arena ready track ‘Cold Decisions’ featuring Jamie Mathias of Bullet For My Valentine.
The South Wales based quintet delivers power and passion in an alternative metal sound, baring its teeth and its soul at the same time. This is no more apparent than on their latest single ‘Echoes & Empires’. Set for release on March 13th, the band warns of history repeating itself and the future leading to the same tragic outcome.

“The meaning behind the song ‘Echoes & Empires’ is about history repeating itself and trying to rebuild on a foundation that has already failed. You try again and again with the same outcome, only to realise each time you drag someone else into this cycle which needs to stop .
Musically, ‘Echoes & Empires’ is a blend of heavy riffs and melodic hooks, with a slight discordant twist. The track features our soaring choruses and driving rhythms that we’ve become known for, whilst showcasing our evolution as a band. The song has a blend of nu-metal influences mixed with rock, creating a dynamic sound that balances introspective lyrics with powerful riffs. We feel fans of both genres will find something to connect with here.”
