A VISUAL DIARY AND THE REASON WHY I DON’T DO REVIEWS

By CHELF

I can show you the world through my eyes but I cannot tell you what to see.

Nor can I tell you what to think and what to like or dislike.

AT THE END OF THE DAY IT’S JUST MUSIC.

I want to capture the reality.

Look at this picture.

Can I make you feel the bass vibrating in your chest?

Then my work here is done.

Each show that I attend makes me who I am. I am not a musician nor do I know how music is made so how could I possibly review a show, an album or a musician’s work?

It would be an all too familiar story of people judging people.

I’ll pass.

On very rare occasions I have done an odd review or two but only when I felt the need to say something. Otherwise I’ll liquify the music into pixels and send it your way.

This is the only way for me to show you what I see, as I am encapsulated by isolation, me and my camera on one side, the band on the other.

The review is all yours.
