The band’s composer and guitarist Milad “Necrovile” has this to say about Midnight:

“I believe we’re living in what can only be called the age of modern slavery. Every day, people are forced to play the role of slaves in political games orchestrated by corrupt pigs, the politicians and the ultra-wealthy. Driven by greed and a thirst for more money, these pigs are more than willing to gamble with the lives of millions, treating ordinary people like disposable slaves. I alluded to this in our latest song, Midnight. Unfortunately, their warmongering has even forced us to delay the release of our debut single. In times like these, the idea of a bomb casually going off beside me never feels far-fetched.”

Animate the Hatred perfectly captures the plight of the people with its grotesque and bleak portrayal of today’s political landscape. The flow and imagery in Midnight parallel George Orwell’s Animal Farm, albeit through a much darker and more hyperrealistic lens. Yet the song’s message and conclusion and its lessons remain the same.the powerful survive by feeding on the weak, manipulating and draining them until there’s nothing left but silence and submission.

But Midnight is not just a song, it’s a prophetic warning. It acts as the mirror that reflects a world where oppression is disguised as order, and compliance is enforced through threat of death. Using brutal non-apologetic lyrics and punishing riffs, the song challenges the masses to awaken from their numbness and recognize the system that thrives on their apathy. It’s an honest call to resist, to question, and to reclaim the freedom that’s been buried under the rubble of false promises and political theater.

Just when you think that the song’s strong message hits you hard, the crushing riffs which are a perfect marriage of modern deathcore and old school death metal hit you even harder. Animate the Hatred pays tribute to the catchy structure of old school death metal within the modern deathcore medium. Just after a soul tearing breakdown, the band manages to catch listeners off guard with a cinematic symphonic section, adding an element of grandeur to its signature sound.

Animate the Hatred bio:

Animate the Hatred
delivers punishing deathcore laced with the grit, structure, and catchiness of old-school death metal. Formed in 2024 by guitarist and composer Milad “Necrovile” and vocalist Saleh “Raven”, the band emerged from the depths of Iran’s underground metal scene with a mission to blend brutality with meaning.

The name Animate the Hatred dates back nearly a decade, originally conceived by Milad for a technical death metal project. Over time, it evolved into something more personal. To “animate hatred” is to breathe life into a raw, often denied emotion; to confront it rather than suppress it. It’s a philosophy that drives both the band’s message and its sound.

Musically, Animate the Hatred pulls from modern deathcore’s intensity and precision, while staying rooted in the memorable riff structures and pacing of classic death metal. Its compositions are steeped in bleakness and disdain, yet layered with sweeping orchestration that hints at something grander, like a scorched opera of a world gone wrong.

Lyrically, the band takes a confrontational stance. Its themes explore cultural dysfunction, systemic inequality, modern-day slavery, and the decay of capitalism. This is protest through distortion, social commentary wrapped in riffs and rage. Animate the Hatred’s ultimate aim: to challenge the normalized, to offer a worldview forged in frustration and sharpened by perspective.
