Asheville (NC) – Blackvapor/Black Metal duo, Hellir, have released new EP, Hollow Moon: Precursor!
Hollow Moon: Precursor is the first release in a trilogy of EPs that will collectively comprise the band’s first full-length album, Hollow Moon. Hollow Moon: Precursor is an evolution of Hellir’s atmosphere venturing into a broader range of sounds. With everything from extremely heavy break downs, electronic breaks, classical piano, and fusion, there’s a lot of new territory to explore. Or to boldly go where no one has gone before……

BIO:
Hellir was founded in 2023 as a solo project by Daniel Shaneyfelt as a way to experiment with ideas that didn’t suit other projects. He released the first Hellir record Wheel of Ghosts in 2024, which blends elements of black metal, 80s synth pop, vapor wave, thall, and cinematic music.
Soon after recording Wheel of Ghosts, Hellir welcomed Dylan Webb on drums, helping push the duo’s sound into heavier and more technical territory.
Hellir translates to “Cave” in the Old Norse language.
