RITUAL FOG and CHAOS RELIC, in league with Iron Fortress Records, are set to unleash a feral death metal assault, with four twisted new tracks arriving digitally on August 26th and on cassette September 19th.
Southern slimelords RITUAL FOG kick things off Memphis-style with a suffocating blend of death metal steeped in doom and blackened sludge, delivering the new original “Enraptured” alongside a crushing cover of Rippikoulu’s “The Lost Gods (Kadonneet Jumalat).”
From across the South, Jacksonville’s CHAOS RELIC bring Floridian brutality honed by members of Rhythm of Fear, Shades of War, and Mindfield, with alumni of Bodybox and Culture Killer. Their “King to All (God of None)” and “Fate of Atropos” deliver a sledgehammer one-two to close Side B in speaker-rupturing fashion.
Recorded in Tennessee and Florida with Matt Qualls and John Howard, mixed and mastered by Dan Lowndes and Howard respectively, and completed with artwork by Darkside and logos by Form Terror Growth and Spearhead, this split captures two bands merging old-school ruin with modern extremity.
