Halloween is just around the corner, and symphonic metal hell-raiser Brocarde is back with another haunting instalment that will blow the cobwebs off! – Feed My Soul is out 12th September.

Brocarde presents another twisted fairytale; Feed My Soul featuring Ray Luzier from Korn on drums. The enchanting track, lures you into a dark underworld where Brocarde’s chilling, emotive vocal grabs you and refuses to let you go, each word hits like it’s leaving an imprint of Brocarde’s heart on your soul.
Feed My Soul is another example of Brocarde’s storytelling abilities, it tackles toxic relationships and energy vampires. The song is an intentional power ba le between love and hate, it drags you kicking and screaming into a state of euphoria through melodic orchestra on and hard hitting heavy metal.
We’ve all met those people in life that hug you with one arm, and punch you with the other, it leaves you in a state of confusion, unable to figure out if they love you or hate you. It creates a battle within yourself that’s destructive. Feed My Soul is an explora on into those emo ons, they are the kind of conflicting emotions that can make you feel like you’re going insane, so the song pushes those emotions past the boundaries of human reasoning.” explains Brocarde.
Brocarde’s world of horror and music are an alliance that refuse to be broken. Her marriage to a Victorian ghost solider captured headlines across the globe, a er ghost hun ng at Download Festival and conducting a seance for Lemmy at Wacken Open Air, she’s now ready to take centre stage and let her music do the haunting.
Brocarde’s unique no rules approach to performing and songwriting captured the attention of Ray Luzier from Korn, and he joins Brocarde to play drums on Feed My Soul, speaking highly of the emerging artist and hailing her a dynamic new talent, Ray says;
“I love Brocarde’s very unique vocal style & vibe.. she has mass aggression to sweetness & everything in between in her voice! The very interesting song arrangements and theatrical segments make the whole package a dynamic, fun adventure to listen to. I see great things ahead for her!”
Brocarde speaks highly of Ray also; “The energy and passion that Ray put into his performance, has really elevated my music. “
Brocarde was first introduced to Korn when she did a voice intro to count them down to stage on their Serenity Of Summer Tour. However Ray recorded Brocarde’s drums via zoom from Nashville, while Brocarde was in London, and producer Chris Collier (Korn, Whitesnake, Mick Mars) was in Las Vegas. Brocarde hadn’t actually met Ray in person until she bumped into him in the canteen at Wacken Open Air.
“I honestly thank Ray for being so inspiring, I stood side stage watching Korn and the enormity of what the band has accomplished was a powerful lesson. Somemes as a new artist you get dragged down by the music industry, it can feel like a constant battle, but he reminds me of what it’s about, and he’s shown me the power of the these huge rock shows. I want that for myself as an ar st.” Brocarde continues.
An etherial music video was born when Brocarde headed to the depths of the Black Forest to an area that inspired the Brothers Grimm to write fairytales. In a haunted, abandoned hotel known by many as the Demon Hotel, Brocarde’s vision came to life.
“I filmed the video in an abandoned haunted, hunting hotel in the Black Forest in Germany. It felt such an appropriate location, as toxic relationships make you feel trapped, and like a deer in headlights. The taxidermy heads on the walls were menacing, they died with clenched teeth and bulging eyes, they lost the power battle and ended up as prey. I think wri ng the song stopped me being prey and gave me some of my power back. That’s what I love about being an artist, sharing your personal emotions can empower you and hopefully others too. Ironically, there was also an energy ba le going on within the haunted hotel, between satanic practices and the souls of the former residents.” Brocarde concludes.
Hopefully the power of Brocarde’s music will conquer all. Feed My Soul is out 12th September.
