THE BLACKENING is a modern metal/hardcore band from Pamplona, influenced by 00s groove metal and the most current hardcore scene, formed by Álvaro Navarro (vocals and rhythm guitar), Jorge Gaspar (drums), Paco Ortega (bass and backing vocals) and Miguel López (lead guitar).
The band presents its new single “NOTHING TO SAY”, a raw outburst of emotions that reflects inner struggle, desperation and personal torment. With crushing riffs, tearing breakdowns and lyrics that do not shy away from darkness, THE BLACKENING delivers an attack of pure energy — a visceral scream of strength and determination that showcases the band’s most powerful and uncompromising side.
Released on November 21st through El Gringo Autoediciones on all platforms, the track was recorded, mixed and mastered by Adrián Vallejo at Estudios Musikkii. It also comes with an official music video directed by Mike Casey and Álex Rodríguez, filmed in Cascante (Navarra), which reinforces the visceral nature of the single.
Looking ahead, this song will be part of their next album, expected to be released in September 2026.
