ALDABARAN PRESENTS “A TREE IN THE CITY”, NEW SINGLE FROM THEIR DEBUT ALBUM PERSEPHONE
Spanish-language heavy metal exploring solitude, alienation, and inner freedom from a deep and honest perspective.
Aldabaran, an international Spanish-language heavy metal band, releases “Un árbol en la ciudad”, the first single from their debut album Perséfone, independently released on August 5, 2025.
“Un árbol en la ciudad” explores existential solitude and the alienation of the individual in the face of a reality that often feels foreign. The song portrays a displaced person living on the margins of the world, where the only possible refuge is the mind and the inner universe—the final space of freedom, meaning, and resistance.
Like the rest of the album Perséfone, the single shows clear influences from WarCry and Tierra Santa, blending classic heavy metal with contemporary arrangements. The lyrics present a powerful metaphor: existing like a tree growing in the middle of the city, surrounded by concrete, indifference, and noise, yet firm in its essence.

The single was recorded remotely in Poland, Argentina, and Chile, taking advantage of modern production possibilities while maintaining strong artistic cohesion.
Mixing and mastering were handled by Marcelo Oyanadel, under the mentorship of Ricardo Martínez (Neogenesis), marking Oyanadel’s first full project in this technical role, achieving a mature and solid sonic result.
The single also features a lyric video created by Boris Mauna of Dynamo Audiovisual (Chile), a regular collaborator of the band, who contributes a sober visual aesthetic in line with the song’s introspective nature.
The album Perséfone includes 12 original tracks and features the participation of renowned guest musicians such as Ricardo Martínez (Neogenesis) on guitars and Iván Ramírez (The Resilient Dream Project) on keyboards.
At the same time, Aldabaran is already working on a new EP, scheduled for release in 2026.

About Aldabaran
Formed in 2024 as a remote collaborative project, Aldabaran was born from the creative union between Chilean bassist Marcelo Oyanadel (Resilience, Neogenesis) and vocalist Óscar Klassen, former member of the Mexican band Séptimo Ángel. Argentine drummer David Méndez later joined the project, solidifying a stable lineup and a sound that is solid, dark, and emotionally direct.
