ANUBIS INTRODUCE CO-VOCALIST HANNA PRESTON ON NEW SINGLE “FANGED ANGEL”
From New Album ‘Anthromorphicide’ Out April 24th; Pre-Order Now

Los Angeles’ ANUBIS have been playing shows and teasing the fact that the group have added an additional singer to their ranks. While some would expect Hanna Preston joining to bring something more angelic and melodic to the traditionally rooted band, instead she brings a devilish and extreme approach to the group who have simultaneously beefed up their sound as well. Today’s digital single for “Fanged Angel” is Hanna’s debut and her contributions to be heard and is available on all streaming/download platforms, or watch the music video highlighting the band’s live performance HERE https://youtu.be/p1FrqYDPkms

“This was the first song I wrote as a member of Anubis. Certainly won’t be the last, nor the heaviest… As far as this new direction goes, you ain’t seen nothing yet,” states Hanna Preston
“Before this song was written, we had come off a run of shows in Texas where Hanna and I agreed that while a few of our old songs sounded right, a lot of our set felt awkward by trying to force her vocals into songs that were very clearly not written with death metal parts in mind,” explains singer Devin Reiche. “For our first creative collaboration, I wanted to write something that would feel not only incomplete, but ‘impossible’ without her. I wanted to step away from the spotlight and give her the opportunity to truly dominate the entire sonic soundscape.”
“Fanged Angel” and last month’s “Arcanist” https://youtu.be/iTiH2Q-yIBw both come from the forthcoming new ANUBIS album, ‘Anthromorphicide,’ out April 24th on CD, limited-edition (300) metallic gold colored vinyl and digital. Pre-order now HERE www.m-theoryaudio.com/store or https://anubis10.bandcamp.com/

‘Anthromorphide’ translates to the death of the human form, a word meaning the transformation, evolution or the shedding of one’s form and the embracing of another,” explains Devin. “We’ve chosen this as the name of our second album as it is a perfect snapshot of a band evolving in real time. We’ve had a lot of members, and a lot of different artistic goals in the past year and a half and all of them have left a mark on this album in one way or another. Not least of which, of course, is the decision to bring aboard a new second vocalist with 85% of the album already in the can. You’re going to hear a lot of different styles and guest performances, some of which will come as a complete surprise to a lot of people no matter how close you’ve been following us.”
“One thing that has remained completely unchanged, since the first days of this band is our genuine passion for combining melody and heaviness in new and unique ways.”
The ‘Anthromorphicide’ album continues to broaden the palette from which ANUBIS paint to create something fierce, intense and aggressive while keeping the traditional and melodic tendencies of their debut ‘Dark Paradise’ still alive.

ANUBIS began in 2019 as an outlet for singer Devin Reiche to broaden his horizons from simply playing bass in HATCHET and to relish in creating traditional metal inspired by his influences and to use his voice. Joined by bassist Will Buckley the group released several EPs and singles over the years building a reputation online and in southern California, culminating in the signing to M-Theory Audio and the release of their proper debut ‘Dark Paradise’ in 2024. While continual line-up turnover has plagued them nothing has stopped ANUBIS from continually writing, recording and performing. The current line-up is rounded out by Ulises Hernandez (Novareign, Judicator) on guitar, David Velez (Witherfall) on drums, vocalist Hanna Preston, and the returning Justin Escamilla (Tower Guard) on guitar. ANUBIS has shared stages all over the west coast and through Texas alongside names such as Delain, Xandria, Warbringer, Omnium Gatherum, Aether Realm, Artillery, Tyr, Seven Kingdoms, Striker, Lutharo, Silver Talon, and more.
