Domhain unveil cinematic visualiser for new track “Talamh Lom”
Ethereal Northern Irish quartet shares new look into upcoming album “In Perfect Stillness”, arriving 20th February via These Hands Melt

Northern Irish post-atmospheric black metal band Domhain have revealed a new visualiser video for the track “Talamh Lom” the second track from their upcoming debut full-length album “In Perfect Stillness”. The track will be available on all major streaming platforms from 30th January.

The video begins with the atmospheric intro “Una Tarra Ci Hé”, centred on a delicate, stirring cello performance by the band’s own Anaïs Chareyre-Méjan, setting a sombre tone before transitioning into the expansive power of “Talamh Lom”.

The band said: “Una Tarra Ci Hé and Talamh Lom are the opening tracks of our new album, they develop the concept of our first EP Nimue, but from the point of view of a human being. One who feels close to nature and yet contemplates the damages created by his own species. It is a meditation on death as return rather than ending. Rooted in forest, soil, and ancestral memory, the song follows a final offering of body and spirit back to the land: where decay becomes rebirth and the self dissolves into ocean, mountain, and earth. It mourns a world stripped of soul and freedom, while quietly affirming an infinite connection that survives beyond flesh and time.”

“In Perfect Stillness” will be available in the following formats:

  • CD Digipack (Limited to 300 copies): 3-panels, including a 12-page booklet.
  • LP Dark Green Vinyl (Limited to 200 copies): Includes a 12-page 30x30cm booklet.
  • Digital

“In Perfect Stillness” features guests Sarah Fielding (Darkest Era) on “My Tomb Beneath The Tide”, along with John Wilson (Piano) and Raul Andueza (Cello) on the track “Footsteps II”. Domhain and Chris Fielding produced the album. Engineered and mixed by Chris Fielding at Foel Studio, and mastered by Mike Lamb.

The band will showcase the new album live at their album launch show on Saturday, March 7th, at The Voodoo in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Hailing from Northern Ireland and consisting of four experienced musicians from the Irish metal scene, Domhain is a quartet that blends an emotional mix of post-black metal, blackgaze, and atmospheric black metal, featuring distinctive vocal harmonies and cello. Their debut EP, the three-song EP “Nimue” (October 2023), showcased their long-form songs filled with myths and remembrances, featured guest cello by Jo Quail and was recorded at Foel Studio with Chris Fielding (Conan, Primordial).

Following their debut, they released the split EP, “Of Pine and Oak” (May 2025), with labelmates Ephemeral, which the band described as “an ode to nature”.

Domhain’s powerful live show has garnered significant attention, notably at Fortress Festival 2024, where Kerrang! praised their set as “something bracingly original about their specific black metal blend: a sound that you can drift off into even in a live setting” and that “they already have the material to become giants of the genre”.
