Blisteringly heavy and emotionally exposed, Faithbreaker strips everything back lyrically, delivering a brutally honest account of depression, guilt, and the pressure of expectation. Known for their metaphor-driven songwriting, this release sees the band, and frontman Zakk in particular, taking a far more direct and vulnerable approach. Vocalist, songwriter and producer Zakk explains: “When I wrote Faithbreaker, I was at a pretty low point in my life. I’d just been signed off work for depression and felt like my life was crumbling around me. Lyrically it’s very raw. I normally hide behind metaphors when I write, but this one is straight from the heart.”
