BAND SHARES VIDEO FOR NEW SINGLE “STILL ON THE COUCH” — LISTEN + WATCH

After nearly two decades, Piebald return with Tales For The Rages, their first new album in over 15 years.

Featuring 13 tracks of emo x indie-rock greatness, the record was written and recorded between 2019–2025 after the band’s 2016 reunion sparked a steady flood of riffs, melodies, and lyrics that refused to fade. It picks up where they left off while confidently pushing forward — not a nostalgia play, but a natural next chapter.

ENTER INTO THE MUCH ANTICIPATED NEW ERA OF PIEBALD WITH THE VIDEO FOR THE FIRST SINGLE “STILL ON THE COUCH.”

Tracked at The Den in North Reading, MA with longtime collaborator Doug Batchelder, the album was produced in part by Jay Maas (Title Fight, Citizen) and mastered by Jack Shirley (Joyce Manor). The result captures Piebald’s signature mix of heartfelt, clever, and occasionally delightfully absurd songwriting, anchored by massive hooks and harmonies, with an undercurrent of social awareness reflecting on inequality, human behavior, and the strange modern world.

Tales For The Rages will be released via Iodine Recordings, marking the band’s first release of brand new music on the label. Backed by a highly dedicated, multi-generational fanbase, Piebald will support the release with Summer and Fall tour dates, including festival appearances. Still singing, still swinging, against all odds, we’re moving forward, together.

ABOUT PIEBALD:
Formed in Massachusetts in the mid-1990s, Piebald built a lasting following through constant touring, sharp songwriting, and a distinct balance of melody, humor, and emotional honesty. Their catalog has remained influential across indie and alternative circles and continues to resonate with longtime listeners while being rediscovered by new audiences through reissues, streaming, and live appearances. Since reuniting, the band has remained active on stage and in the studio, steadily building momentum toward new material rather than revisiting the past. Tales For The Rages reflects that continued evolution, a record rooted in the band’s identity and positioned to connect just as strongly with listeners encountering Piebald for the first time. After years of reunion shows and the quiet accumulation of ideas, Tales For The Rages feels like a natural continuation of a story that never really ended. Written slowly and deliberately, it reconnects with what made Piebald’s music matter in the first place while reflecting the perspective that only time can bring.
