Following an incredible breakout year, Dublin trio For Nina return with their first music of 2026 in the form of the delicate and ethereal new single “Labour Of My Love”.
With previous singles “Hounds” and “Swallow”, the band have already showcased a striking breadth of sound, moving effortlessly from insatiable, buoyant indie-pop to rich, heavy, and immersive shoegaze textures. Along the way, they’ve earned early tastemaker support from Rolling Stone UK, DIY, The Line of Best Fit, RTÉ, Hot Press and more, a run that’s quickly marked them out as one of Ireland’s most promising new voices.
Written in a garden on a summer morning, “Labour Of My Love” thrives in contradiction. Its gentle, almost weightless delivery carries a quiet intensity beneath the surface. Lyrics shaped by restraint, but simmering with an undercurrent of resolve. Speaking on the track, the band explain: “The song clicked so quickly once the bones were there, it felt like there were such obvious dynamics up and down in the song, both emotionally and musically, we couldn’t help but surrender to them.”

That instinct for contrast has become central to how For Nina write, leaning into vulnerability without losing a sense of scale. Where earlier releases hinted at what they were capable of, “Labour Of My Love” feels more deliberate; a step forward that lands with real confidence.
That momentum has been mirrored onstage. Fresh from a standout appearance at Borderline Festival – sharing a bill with Bleech 9:3, Adult DVD, Man/Woman/Chainsaw, Courting and DEADLETTER – For Nina proved more than at home among some of the most talked-about names on the circuit. Their ability to translate nuance into intensity has seen rooms steadily grow – and audiences return.
With a run of live dates across Ireland prepped for this spring, including stops in Galway, Cork, Dublin and Belfast – the band continue to expand their reach, while quietly laying the groundwork for a broader UK presence, with their first London shows on the horizon.
Still early in their journey, but moving with intent, For Nina are a band stepping into 2026 with real momentum and “Labour Of My Love” is their most assured statement yet.
