Chainsword plays Old School Death Metal – dirty, heavy and hard, like the life of a private at the battlefront. The band loved the 1990s musically, and Warhammer 40k and both world wars of the previous century lyrically.

‘Death Walking Terror’ is a Chainsword’s interpretation of a the modern era Cannibal Corpse composition. The recording was produced for the underground tribute album “Butchered by Death”. The choice of this specific track allowed the band to present their signature death metal style in a classic composition.

The recordings were conducted in January 2025 at the Sound of Records studio with Mikołaj Kiciak, as part of the sessions for the album “Chapter XII”. The mix, as with previous releases, was handled by Haldor Grunberg of Satanic Audio.

The single ‘Death Walking Terror’ is the final Chainsword track recorded before the change of drummers. The new drummer for Chainsword is Herr T.Fugit (Ordo Chronis), known from the bands Parahuman and Tankograd. He replaced the group’s co-founder, Herr Feldgrau, who had been a member of the lineup since its inception in 2016 and currently continues his musical activity in other projects.

The group was founded in 2016. Warsaw. The first single ‘Dreadquake Mortar’ was released in 2018. After two more songs, in 2021. Chainsword released their debut album, “Blightmarch”, through the Godz Ov War label. The first album received positive reviews both at home and abroad. In 2024, the band released a second album entitled “Born Triumphant” and in 2025 they released EP “Chapter XII”.

Chainsword played numerous club concerts around the country. They also performed at many festivals. These include Poland’s Summer Dying Loud and Black Waves Fest, Hungary’s Insane Hellride Fest and Finland’s Mökäfest.
