Yet another bold release from brand new artist BADSQUATCH, the third single from his upcoming album (due in late 2026) embodies the word ”bold” in the song’s name alone. Now he’s dropping a monstrously heavy track, simply titled “FCK”, directly after the light-hearted second single that was a fun and groovy 80’s workout tune.

It’s getting more and more obvious that this artist doesn’t play by the rules that the industry has long been calling for: consistent sound and easy-to-swallow material. Instead, this new release is once again completely removed and different from the first two, with huge sounding guitars, dark and thundering basslines complementing brooding drums, and a rock vocal performance that truly digs deep with not only timbre and
delivery, but also an honest vulnerability.

This song, with its connotations toward an expletive for a title, ironically, does not contain a single explicit word in the lyrics aside from the allusion in the name of the piece itself. Instead, the words craft a picture of the
gut-wrenching moment one feels their heart fully break.

This text of such a powerful yet dreaded moment in life is painted with music sounding reminiscent of alarms and panic going off inside the head and heart. The guitars sweep from ear to ear in the mix, utilizing whammy
and wah pedals to create a really eerie baseline before things come crashing in with the frantic energy of heavier and heavier riffs. All of this sets the stage for the big man to belt out a story about his experience and
relationship with pain itself.

Considering the title of this song along with the full picture of the music and lyrics, this next release helps illuminate just a little more of this curious, new artist. BADSQUATCH seems to be carefully orchestrating
which songs he’s sharing with us first, pushing the envelope of industry norms in modern release strategies, addressing uncomfortable subjects once again, and sharing what appears to be deeply personal moments in
genre-defying aural statements. When asked about his inspirations behind the music, BADSQUATCH’s usual reply is that he’s simply sharing his experiences on the very personal journey that is discovering what it actually means to be human, and there’s nothing more human than heartbreak.
