Penetration was conceived in 1998 by JESSE “BLACK BART” BARTLETT, in the wilderness desolate area of Northern New York State, 10 miles or so from the Canadian border. Since no one would book the extreme metal band locally in those days, in such a remote area, & it was difficult to find musicians, Penetration finally began playing live, in Black Bart’s old remote farmhouse, “The Thrash Farm”- throwing keg parties with a full light show & fog, with BLACK BART, BARREN WASTELAND, and CHAD BISHOP on drums. On April 1, 2006, the first self-titled demo was recorded & engineered by original bass player BRENT “BARREN WASTELAND” BENNETT, & more keg parties continued, with some actual live shows following, including a May 5, 2006 show opening in Cleveland, OH supporting EXODUS. In time, ADAM “NASTY” NETTO would become the permanent touring Bassist. Since, the band has played in and including the capitals of Iceland, Bulgaria, Romania, The Netherlands, Poland, England, and Germany; also in Belgium. Penetration periodically plays in the New York State and NYC area. Penetration has supported live shows not just with EXODUS, but also VADER, MALEVOLENT CREATION, CATTLE DECAPITATION, WITCHMASTER, ORIGIN, MALIGNANT TUMOUR, DECEASED & MORE… …band artist MATT DETMER would play a short tour filling in on drums, during which the band opened the show with VADER. After the demo, Penetration band has produced their first cd, “Victory Or Death”, and after nearly being broken up by a homicide in 2010, the band emerged victorious & released another cd in 2011 entitled, “Return To Sodom”, with both releases featuring super fast and amazing drummer DAVE TEDESCO, who also engineered them. Return To Sodom would be mastered by KING DIAMOND guitarist ANDY LA ROCQUE!!! Sadly, studio bassist CUNTRIPPER met a terrible demise, when he was killed and Eaten By Wolves in a trek far North into the Wilderness Desolation, after succumbing to Cannibalism & Madness. His body was never completely found. In 2013, MARC REIGN of MORGOTH, formerly of DESTRUCTION, took over the drum duties for a 2013 tour in Europe, including 3 shows in Transylvania!!!!! Sadly, we lost our brother & band artist MATT DETMER to a battle with his Liver, in November 2015. Penetration will still continue the tradition of proudly supporting his art for upcoming releases & merchandise.
