The progressive metal band from Verona will release their 6th studio album on November 6, 2026 via Andromeda Relix. The first single, “Road to Insanity”, is out now with an official music video.
Verona, Italy – Dark Ages announce the release of “Blind Faith”, their sixth studio album, due out on November 6, 2026 via Andromeda Relix.
For the first time in their career, the Verona-based progressive metal band moves away from the concept album format that has characterized their previous releases. Instead of following a single narrative, “Blind Faith” gives each song its own identity, allowing the band to explore different sounds and stylistic choices while retaining the musical traits that have always defined Dark Ages.
What connects the seven tracks is the theme of faith, explored from different perspectives: faith in oneself and in others, in art, and in the possibility of personal and social change. This is the idea behind the album’s title, “Blind Faith”.
The announcement is accompanied by the release of the album’s first single, “Road to Insanity”, which is also accompanied by an official music video directed by Giovaschi.
Keyboardist Angela Busato on “Blind Faith”:
“We put a lot of care into this album, both in the arrangements and in the final sound. We spent a lot of time locked away in the studio experimenting and, without the constraints of a single overarching theme, each song developed in its own way. I think the band is really energized and motivated right now. We can’t wait for people to hear what we’ve created!”
“Blind Faith” was recorded at Mago Studio in Avio, Trento, with Maurizio “Tachy” Fracchetti, often referred to as the “band’s sixth member”, who has worked with Dark Ages since 2010 and has become an integral part of the band’s creative journey. The album’s visually striking cover artwork was created by Le Nevralgie Costanti, while the booklet was designed by keyboardist Angela Busato of Kraken Promotion.
Simone Calciolari on “Blind Faith”:
“At the end of every project, I always ask myself what I could have done to make it better, hoping that the songs have managed to convey my feelings and emotions. I’m certain it’s something many artists can relate to. I had the same thoughts with ‘Blind Faith’, but this time I also found myself looking at the album from a different perspective. The commitment everyone put into it is something I really appreciate, and I think it gives the record a depth and maturity that we hadn’t reached before.”
Musically, “Blind Faith” brings together the classic hallmarks of Dark Ages, from the refined and intimate atmosphere of the opening track to the long, multifaceted suite “The Lighthouse (Blind Faith)”.
The album also moves between more straightforward songs such as “Good to Say Goodbye” and “Distant Suns”, more progressive material including “The Fire We Hold” and “Sunset”, and the first single “Road to Insanity”, where more modern influences come to the forefront.
