Luxembourg’s Heaviest — Fusion Bomb — are the Grand Duchy’s premier metal export. Since 2010, this quartet has been on an arduous quest to make Thrash Metal SLAM again.
In 2016, they emerged from nuclear fission with an EP entitled Pravda, proving early on their unwavering dedication to the riff. Dave Mustaine himself deemed them worthy as direct support act for Megadeth in 2017, with Trivium’s Matt Heafy following suit a little later.
Concrete Jungle, Fusion Bomb’s debut album, dropped in 2019 and is now regarded by fans and press alike as a late classic of the New Wave of Thrash Metal. Despite the hardships of 2020, the band stayed on course and, in 2023, released a mini-album of the same name — an exploration of 90s technical thrash in the vein of Forced Entry, Voivod or Mordred.
With around 200 shows under their belts, Fusion Bomb have represented Luxembourg at the Wacken Metal Battle in Germany and hit the European nightliner circuit in 2024 alongside Greece’s premier thrash export, Suicidal Angels, proving their mettle on the road.
Ever hungry and eager for more, the Thrashers called in reinforcements on bass in 2026. And they brought none other than Serhii “Metal Priest” Bondar on board — the Ukrainian bass virtuoso and workaholic known for his work with Bestial Invasion, Cosmic Jaguar, Tria Prima and Violent Omen, to name but a few.
Stronger than ever, Fusion Bomb are gearing up to unleash a new full-length in 2027. But for now, crank up their October 16 release, Unison, and SLAMMAROUND!
