French Hardcore Group STINKY Unveils New Digital EP “Resolve”

Two New Songs “In Control” and “Overload”
Available For Streaming and Digital Download

The French band STINKY – praised by Outburn for its “solid melodic hardcore/punk that employs notes of Sick Of It All, Parkway Drive and Comeback Kid” – has unveiled their new digital EP, titled “Resolve.” The two songs contained on the digital release – “In Control” and “Overload” – are both now available to stream https://youtu.be/bk8eOoMX4OU, and is available for purchase at all digital music platforms. This new EP – mixed and mastered by Jay Maas (Defeater, Bane, Title Fight, Counterparts) at Getaway Recording Studio – is the first new music recorded by STINKYsince their 2020 crowd-pleasing full-length, “Of Lost Things.” CD, digital, and limited-edition orange vinyl pressings of “Of Lost Things” are available for purchase at www.smarturl.com/stinky.

Says the band, “Our new EP ‘Resolve’ was written in the context of the pandemic, with songs and lyrics about mental health and oppression. Our sound has become more aggressive and more metal-oriented than any of our previous releases.”

The two songs contained on STINKY’s new EP “Resolve” – titled “In Control” and “Overload” – is just the latest activity on the band’s 2022 calendar so far. The group has made a forceful return to the live stage with festival appearances in their native France at Mauges Pit Fest and Lievin Metal Fest 3, with more live performances coming up through the remainder of 2022. More information on STINKY’s 2022 live calendar can be located at www.facebook.com/Stinkyhc. In between live performances, STINKY recorded the guitars and drums for “In Control” and Overload” with Fabien Guilloteau (Hacride, The Necromancers) at Nomandaudio, and recorded the vocals and bass guitar with Arthur Lauth (War Inside, Mantra) at Brown Bear Recording.

STINKY’s 2020 album “Of Lost Things” – which featured cover artwork by Emy Rojas (Clutch, Ministry, Queens of the Stone Age) – features 11 tracks of metallic hardcore that the UK’s Down For Life magazine praised for its “monstrous anthems and full-on bangers.” The clip for “Struggle” is the fourth music video to be released from “Of Lost Things”, Music videos for “Revival Fire,” which features footage of the band performing live at Hellfest 2019; “Strangers With Familiar Faces,” which originally premiered via Germany’s Visions Magazine; “Distance,” which was unveiled via New Noise Magazine and quickly added to Spotify’s New Punk Tracks and All The Rage playlists; and the fiery performance clip “Struggle” can all be viewed at https://www.youtube.com/c/StinkyHc.

Since their formation a decade ago, STINKY has played more than 350 concerts across 15 different countries in support of their first three albums, 2015’s “Against Wind and Tide,” 2017’s “From Dead-End Street,” and 2020’s “Of Lost Things.” While the band’s name might seem curious to some, their music – a combustible mix of energy and aggression that the UK’s Midlands Metalheads Radio says “makes you feel like you can headbutt through a brick wall” – unquestionably passes the smell test.
