US power metal band EMISSARY announce new drummer amd appearance at the MEDFORD METALFEST II.
During May 2022, West Coast US power metal band EMISSARY successfully wrapped up their “Tour Dates In The States” reaching as far East as Chicago, Illinois; where the band appeared as the second stage headliner at the legendary Legions of Metal festival held at Reggies on Friday May 13th.
The band members called it a “dream come true” to share the stage with veteran acts such as RIOT V and NASTY SAVAGE. That night, Chicago concertgoers witnessed drummer Eric Hoover’s swan song, who has since retired from the project. Former BORNE NAKED and SAVIOR drummer Tony Mullins played his first official Emissary show opening for Stephen Pearcy – “The Voice of RATT” in Grants Pass, Oregon on May 27th.
Current studio plans are being discussed with producer / mixing engineer Doug Hill of 60 Psycho Hum Studios. Hill is known for his work with notable acts such as HELMET, MASTODON, and Scott Kelly of NEUROSIS.
The upcoming Emissary release will be a follow-up to their critically acclaimed 2022 debut album “The Wretched Masquerade” which hit the shelves on June 1st. Favorable press has already been received in both print and online publications such as PowerPlay magazine, The Forgotten Scroll webzine, DangerDog Music webzine, The Metal Crypt webzine, HardRockHeavyMetal webzine and even a perfect 5 out of 5 score on the legendary webzine KNAC.com.
Emissary’s next major live appearance will be at Medford Metalfest II, alongside fellow Pacific Northwest speed metal act SOLICITOR, and California heavy-hitters GURSCHACH, among others. The Southern Oregon all ages festival will be held in downtown Medford on Saturday, September 3rd.
