DEATH METALLERS BURKER RELEASE DEBUT SELF-TITLED EP TODAY

Ohio-based Death-Doom outfit BURKER released their debut self-titled EP today (stream on Spotify). Combining old school 90’s era death metal with slower, sludgier elements, the band have created a crushingly heavy sound for their debut 5-track offering.
BURKER consists of Jameson Burkey on vocals, Matt Pifer on guitars and bass, and Ryan Pifer on the drums. The band was formed in the summer of 2021 and has released several singles as part of their quest to perfect their own individual sound that stands out from the pack.
In the bands own words, “Burker is the bastard son of a broken society and the creative angst of its mutant misfits. The lyrics are the putrid prophecies of a lunatic’s fever dream. The music is as hauntingly beautiful as it is baleful and their sermons are guttural lullabies for the lost children of this lurid world.“
