Announce debut MCD release „Crashdive“
and sign with Fireflash Records
Since launching in January of 2022, TAILGUNNER have taken the world of underground Heavy Metal by the scruff of the neck, and grasp with an iron first. “I would call Tailgunner a Heavy Metal band. There is quite a bit of speed metal, and old school power Metal in there too“, says bass player and founder Thomas Hewson and names the bands main inspirations with Helloween, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, King Diamond and Judas Priest. You can feel their love for the 80s in every moment!

“When I heard ‘Shadows Of War’ on Spotify, I fell in love immediately. What a hymn! This is Heavy Metal the way I love it: powerful, fresh, melodic, raw and catchy. Along with Power Paladin, they are the hottest and best metal newcomer act in my opinion, with the same spirit that I found on the early albums of my teenager faves like HammerFall, Blind Guardian and Helloween, or younger faves like Enforcer and Skull Fist. Let‘s say, I was addicted from day one, adding their singles to our playlists and ordering their first shirt. Right after, we got in touch, talking about a possible colaboration and were on the same level from the beginning on. The first result now is the 5-track MCD ‘Crashdive’ in a limited digipak edition of 500 copies worldwide – for all the metal maniacs, collectors and treasure hunters out there. Tailgunner will go their way, this is the beginning of something big“, comments Markus Wosgien, owener/founder of Fireflash Records. The five tracks of the “Crashdive” MCD were mixed and mastered by Olof Wikstrand of Enforcer, another perfect match for TAILGUNNER. A release date and pre-order kick off will be announced soon.
