Yorkshire 4-piece ‘Rothschild’ release their highly anticipated debut EP ‘Broken Man’. Written and recorded pre-pandemic at West Homesick Recording Studio.
The 6-track EP offers listeners an insight into Rothschild’s hybrid rock sound drawing elements from alt-rock, math rock, metal, emo and post-hardcore. The result is a dynamic collection of tracks that touch on themes as varied as heartache and politics to morality and individuality while providing a diverse soundscape blending impactful riffs and anthemic choruses with often delicate and gentle interludes. The EP follows the successful single release of its title track ‘Broken Man’ which has seen support from the likes of BBC Radio 1’s Introducing Rock Show, Total Rock Radio and BBC Radio Leeds to name a few along with reaching over 10k streams across Spotify.
Rothschild consists of frontman Nathan Morris, guitarist Danny Jowett, bassist Joshua Roberts, and drummer Thomas ‘TJ’ Johnson. Known for their energetic live shows, the band have previously shared the stage with the likes of Phoxjaw and Mother Vulture, delighting crowds across Yorkshire with their riff-laden performances and charismatic stage presence. Now with the release of ‘Broken Man’ Rothschild looks ahead to a summer of gigs before heading back into the studio.
