“Up to Rock and Roll” is a tribute from Abrahones to his idols in the musical style he  loves so much. An ode to his heroes and the paths they have always walked, between glory  and destruction. With the base recorded with the Incurables live in the studio, the song is a  high-octane rock song, with slide guitars , solos and choruses.

The composition was inspired by Abrahones’ interview with the foreign podcast “State  of America ” , where he was asked if he had ever composed a song about a title. He replied  that he had never, until the phrase “Up” appeared. to Rock and Roll”, the conversation  continues. A few hours later, we would have a new song in the world!

Abrahones: My air is music.

Niterói vocalist, guitarist and composer , Abrahones began playing guitar at the age of  13. His passion for music began in his childhood, when he attended Beatle Paul McCartney’s  show at the Maracaná and found in the iconic English band one of his main references.

A graduate in medicine, a profession that he develops alongside his musical talent,  Abrahones is a chronicler of everyday life and turns his songs into a therapeutic process, a diary  of personal experiences and his relationship with the world.

Through his incessant compositions in Portuguese and English, the artist displays a  visceral sound based on classic rock from the 1960s and 1970s, combined with the alternative  grunge of the 1990s. His versatility also mixes other styles such as reggae, folk and surf music.

With four independently released albums (O Astronauta, from 2014, Abrahones, from  2016, Desquadrato , from 2017 and Running Wild, from 2019) and three EP’s ( Outro Lugar and  Death to Robots, from 2020, and The Night, from 2021), all produced in collaboration with his  friend and musician Bronze, the doctor-composer makes his artistic process an inexhaustible  source of creativity and pleasure.

“Musically, rock is my favorite form, in which I express love, anger, tenderness,  nonconformity, gratitude and everything that boils inside me. But I can’t limit myself to one  style, because I don’t believe that anyone is or should be just something, like a product on a shelf. Some days you want to scream, other days you want to whisper… that’s where folk,  reggae, blues, baião come from.

Since 2016, Abrahones has led the band Os Incuráveis under his name, together with  Yuri Siqueira on drums, Edvaldo Santos on bass and Luis Felipe Sá on guitar, stage companions  who translate their sound live, seasoned with influences from Neil Young, Pearl Jam, Tom Petty,  The Beatles, Wilco, Ben Harper, Rolling Stones, Raul Seixas, Barão Vermelho, Bob Dylan, Jack  Johnson, Rita Lee…

Their discography is available in physical format and on the main digital platforms. Some  songs even received music videos that can be seen on YouTube.
