COLORADO DEATH METALLERS ALEISTER COWBOY RETURN WITH BARN-BURNER EP ‘NEOLITHIC BLOOD RITES’ VIA IRON FORTRESS RECORDS
Fort Collins, CO outlaws ALEISTER COWBOY ride again to deliver their Iron Fortress Records debut EP, ‘Neolithic Blood Rites’, a groove-laden, stomping death metal onslaught, streaming now with CD and cassette landing on Friday, October 10th.
A blistering fusion of occult death metal fury and savage grit, ‘Neolithic Blood Rites’ welds the chaos of classic death metal with a sinister, dust-choked hard death aesthetic, vocals howl and scream like a preacher possessed, while riffs grind like rusted spurs, and thunderous drums echo like undead stampedes across the frozen Colorado plains.
ALEISTER COWBOY summons something feral on ‘Neolithic Blood Rites’, something eternal, a sound born from dirt, blood, and the night sky. Raw and ritualistic, ‘Neolithic Blood Rites’ captures the band at their heaviest without sacrificing their signature catchiness and color.
“The idea of Neolithic as a band came to us as a natural evolution and progression from the widely known ‘caveman’ death metal. Much like the step from the Paleolithic into the Neolithic, we are approaching something fundamentally similar, just with sharper tools and more understanding of each other.” the band explains.
The sonic decompositions captured on ‘Neolithic Blood Rites’ were recorded and mixed by Trae Roberts at Like Minded Company, with mastering handled by Pete Grossman at Bricktop Recording.
Channeling a hellish energy, the artwork for ‘Neolithic Blood Rites’ was created by Richie Jones (Richthenegative), while GruesomeGraphx’s logos bind the scene like an occult seal, summoning a feral and primal atmosphere.
