The Brazilian band Anang has released their debut single and music video, “Solitude”, presenting an artistic proposal that combines modern metal and experimental music, resulting in a unique, rich, and powerful sound. Inspired by the poem “Solitário” by Augusto dos Anjos, the renowned Brazilian symbolist writer, the composition delves into existential solitude and the contradictions of the human mind. The track addresses themes such as isolation, identity crisis, and the struggle against social conformity, translating these reflections into a somber, dense, and introspective atmosphere.
The music video, set on the streets of São Paulo, uses cold colors, body painting, and brutalist settings to convey a sense of introspection, reflecting each member’s singular vision of solitude. The cover art and the band’s name reference the Tupi mythological entity Anhangá, represented by a white deer with red eyes, symbolizing the duality between life and death, brutality and spirituality—concepts that permeate both the sound and the aesthetic of the group.
“Solitude marks Anang’s positioning as a group that challenges conventions and categorizations, proposing a complete artistic experience where sound, word, and concept unite in a single body,” highlights the band.

Anang is a Brazilian band formed in 2025, whose music expresses itself through dense guitars, dark keyboards, and intense vocals, creating an atmosphere charged with anguish and beauty. Their debut single, which anticipates the group’s first EP and introduces their artistic proposal, combines drums and bass inspired by the rhythmic complexity of Tool’s introspective atmospheres with the emotional power of Gojira. Among numerous other influences, the result is a unique sound—simultaneously heavy, atmospheric, and profound—where each instrumental element naturally integrates into the narrative of the music. The lineup of Anang includes Thiago “Tigas” Pereira on vocals, Ivan Landgraf and Felipe Abbamonte on guitars, Renato Castro on bass, and Lucas Prado on drums.
“Solitude” was produced by Anang themselves, with mixing and mastering done by Rogério Wecko at Dual Noise Studios. The single’s cover art is by Ricardo Bancalero, while promotional photography was handled by Maycon Phantoms and Myicahel Tamburini. The track also features additional guitars by Guilherme Mateus, with organ and keyboard arrangements by guitarist Felipe Abbamonte. The music video was directed and edited by Maycon Phantoms, with filming by Maycon Phantoms and Myicahel Tamburini, and production assistance by Victória Zotarelli.
