Avalanche are a 4 piece husband and wife fronted hard rock band from Western Sydney, Australia, playing short, fast & loud, no-bull Aussie rock ‘n roll for a new generation and attracting massive attention on a global scale.
Starting out in a steel factory in 2018, a tradesmen and third generation immigrant; met and married on the mean streets of Western Sydney – raised on their dad’s record collections and determined to bring the dirty pub rock of Australia’s past to the today’s masses – but played through interpretation of their own generation.
Avalanche have since crashed through the Australian pub scene, playing alongside international acts Nashville Pussy, Supersuckers, Buckcherry, Jesse Hughes (Eagles Of Death Metal), The Sweet, Fozzy, The Iron Maidens, Rico & Mikako (The 5.6.7.8’s)… & cutting their teeth with the best of Aussie Rock royalty from Rose Tattoo, Ian Moss, Dragon, The Superjesus, Ross Wilson, Palace Of The King, The Poor, The Casanovas, Ash Naylor (The Church)… to Frenzal Rhomb, King Stingray, Jebediah, Thirsty Merc, Pseudo Echo, Dead City Ruins, Sisters Doll, The Southern River Band, Ronnie Simmons, Mystery & more.
Known as the hardest working hard rock band in Oz, and preaching their Aussie rock gospel to any corner of the world crazy enough to have ‘em; they’ve headlined packed out tours and festivals across Australia, Japan & New Caledonia with a lot more in the works. They’ve worked with Grammy nominated and ARIA award winning producers, won Australia’s largest live original band comp Passport To Airlie and played some major festivals including headlining Airlie Beach Festival Of Music to over 3000 punters.
Starting to gain attention on the world stage in Europe, Asia, the UK and the Americas, they’ve been featured across the globe in publications such as Rolling Stone, Classic Rock, Rock Hard, Tone Deaf, Music Feeds… on major Editorial Playlists including Apple Music’s New Music Daily & The Riff… with airplay on Triple M, Rebel FM, ABC Music, Foxtel Music, Kerrang!, Planet Rock, Hard Rock Hell, Total Rock, Rock Antenne, Star FM and thousands more. They’ve been on the telly on 7mate, C31, C44… as well as reaching #4 on the Australian Community Radio Charts. Airbourne’s Joel O’Keeffe has called their single ‘Armed To The Teeth’ “The best f***in’ rock n’ roll song I’ve heard in a long time!”
It was a great pleasure to have the band on the Interview to speak on their new EP and much more on Avalanche and their epic journey of classic hard rock. Check out the Interview on the below YouTube video.
