After previewing the release of their long-awaited second full studio album with grand singles and music videos that placed Finita at the center of attention in Extreme Metal in Brazil, the band officially released “Children of the Abyss” on all streaming platforms, with production by Thiago Bianchi and physical CD distribution handled by the labels Voice Music and Eclipsys Lunarys.
Set in the same dark universe that permeates their previous works, the album deepens its roots in mysticism, exploring themes such as ancient magic, the rebirth of witches, and an apocalyptic future hinted at with a prophetic tone. The compositions take on even more cinematic contours, combining the increasingly forceful aggressiveness of Extreme Metal with the emotional density of Gothic Metal and the grandeur of Symphonic Metal, creating an immersive and disturbing experience.

“Children of the Abyss” presents an original mythology intertwined with elements of philosophy, religion, and literature, starting from the archetypal figure of Chaos, the primordial Greek deity, mother of Night and Darkness. Representing the absolute origin prior to reason and duality, Chaos resurfaces as the Goddess of the Abyss in a scenario where reality crumbles and the world of illusions fades away. This collapse is narrated as the second war of the angels, in which Lucifer, now with wings forged from the souls of his followers, returns to the portal that once banished him, unleashing a cosmic rupture that distorts time, space, and natural laws.
In this established chaos, ancient powers reemerge: ancient magic awakens, mythological entities reappear, and witchcraft imposes itself as legitimate knowledge. Each track on the album reveals a fragment of this collapsing universe, with narratives ranging between philosophers, witches, deities, and common men. The backdrop is a world where gods are absent, and it is the “children of the abyss,” young souls facing the end, who take the floor to tell their truths. Amid the absence of order, dangerous, liberating, and profound revelations arise, mixing the fantastic with the sacred, and the sacred with the tragic.
Regarding the album release, guitarist Bruno Portela highlights: “This album perfectly crowns the maturity we have reached in our 15 years as a band. ‘Children’ follows the legacy and identity you know, but we allowed ourselves to go further. The lyrics and songs remain insane, with the novelty of orchestrations. And it is important to emphasize the contribution of a producer like Bianchi, who besides providing excellent quality, welcomed us and helped expand our vision regarding artistic production. In short, expect something beautiful and unique here, the team is strong!”
“Children of the Abyss” was recorded, produced, and mixed by Thiago Bianchi at Estúdio Fusão VM&T, with compositions and lyrics by Bruno Portela, orchestrations by Pablo Greg and Evandro Dörner, cover art by Carlos Fides, and promotional photography by Sensum.
